The Herencia City Council has carried out a significant investment to renovate the computer equipment in the Computer Lab of the Training Center. This initiative, funded with its own resources, reinforces the commitment of the Council to reduce the digital divide and offer residents cutting-edge tools for their training and personal development.
New training opportunities
The renovation includes the installation of 21 state-of-the-art computers that will allow students in the courses and workshops to expand their knowledge in new technologies, employment, and digital administration. These equipment are designed to improve the quality of training activities, making learning more accessible and facilitating the job insertion of participants.
The Councillor for Economic Promotion and Training, José Manuel Bolaños, highlighted that this improvement “enables the computer lab to carry out different training actions aimed at the population, thus continuing the effort to bring new technologies closer to all residents.” He also emphasized that this advancement will not only expand the training offer, but also optimize the services provided to citizens.
A joint effort for training
The project has been made possible thanks to the work of the City Council’s IT department and the efforts of the municipal technician, Fernando Palomino, whose work has been publicly recognized by the councillor. “It is a key investment for the development of our community, which positions Herencia as a reference in digital training and employment promotion,” added Bolaños.
Reducing the digital divide, a priority
With this initiative, the City Council reinforces its commitment to digital inclusion, ensuring that all residents have access to tools and knowledge that allow them to better navigate an increasingly digital world. This effort not only aims to improve the training skills of users, but also promote equal opportunities in accessing new technologies.
The renovated Computer Lab is already in operation and it is expected that the programming of courses and workshops will be expanded soon, addressing the demands of the population and promoting the personal and professional development of the residents of Herencia.
