The Hermógenes Rodríguez High School immerses itself in a historical journey through its Medieval Days.

This morning, Mayor Sergio García-Navas, accompanied by the Director of the Manuel José Díaz-Pacheco Center and Jesús Ramírez and Filo Manrique from the “Jesús Ruíz” parents association, experienced firsthand the time travel journey that the Institute is conducting on April 25th and 26th. These Medieval Days, organized by the History Department with the collaboration of various educational departments, and the financial support of the City Council and several companies and banking entities, aim to provide an educational and entertaining experience for students and visitors. The event, which turned the school into a medieval castle with alchemist laboratories, workshops, and stages for musicians and storytellers, promises to be a productive interdisciplinary initiative for those who attend.

Additionally, a new vinyl has been installed in the school’s library as part of a renovation project proposed by the parents association and supported by the city council. During the visit this morning, Mayor García-Navas also checked out this renovated space, which will be used for three weekly hours of reading sessions during class time for students.
