The facilities of the Senior Center in Herencia are undergoing a significant renovation aimed at improving both the structure and accessibility of the space. According to municipal technician Cristina Madero, the works include underpinning the foundation of one of the rooms and demolishing the existing access ramp, which will be replaced by a new one. These interventions have become necessary due to cracks caused by various settlements in the area.
In addition to these structural improvements, the works also involve pruning vegetation and removing architectural barriers, with the aim of renewing the exterior appearance of the Center and making it more accessible for users.
The project, which has a two-month execution period, has an investment of 20,267 euros funded by the municipality’s own funds. The works are being carried out by the company Guillén y Viso, with the aim of ensuring safe and functional facilities for the elderly in the town.
