The Almazarera La Encarnación Cooperative, belonging to the Montes Norte Group, is experiencing a historic year in the olive campaign, surpassing all expectations with a production that could reach 6 million kilograms. This achievement stands out not only for the quantity but also for the quality of the harvested fruit, with an exceptional yield of 20%.
Last Wednesday, the cooperative facilities received a visit from the mayor of Herencia, Sergio García-Navas, and the Rural Development councilor, María Eugenia Díaz-Pacheco, who, along with the president of the cooperative, Jesús Á. Ramos, firsthand witnessed the development of the campaign and the implemented innovations.
This year, the cooperative has experienced significant growth, adding 22 new members to its base. Additionally, the collection of organic olives has increased, reflecting farmers’ commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
The production, mostly destined for the Spanish market, also includes a percentage intended for the American market, strengthening the cooperative’s international presence and its ability to compete in demanding markets.
The cooperative’s store is also growing, with the addition of new flavored oils that expand its range and offer consumers a unique and high-quality experience. This development diversifies options for customers and strengthens the cooperative’s positioning as a leader in the sector.
The Almazarera La Encarnación Cooperative is consolidating as an example of local success, not only for the record numbers achieved this year but also for its ongoing commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. The visit of local authorities reaffirms the importance of these types of entities in the economic and social development of Herencia.
With a solid model and a strong commitment to the progress of the agricultural sector, the cooperative continues to be a fundamental pillar in the region. Congratulations on this great achievement!
