The well-known Kiosk-Bar in the Municipal Park of Herencia will soon reopen after a comprehensive renovation, allowing for its modernization and adaptation as a new recreational and leisure space for the town.
The Mayor, Sergio García-Navas, along with the municipal architect, Adoración Gallego, and representatives of the company awarded the project, have visited the progress of the works, which are currently in their first phase. This intervention aims to recover a space that has been closed for years, providing it with greater functionality and adapting it to current needs.
Improvements in the building and new uses of the space
The project maintains the original construction of the kiosk-bar, but with a deep renovation both in its interior and exterior. Inside, the bar and restroom areas will be expanded, optimizing their layout for greater user and staff comfort. Outside, work will be done on the facades with traditional materials from the area, in harmony with other buildings in the Municipal Park.
Additionally, improvements in accessibility and space climate control will be implemented, allowing for its use throughout the year. This new meeting point will become a strategic enclave within the Municipal Park and the Summer Auditorium, facilitating the realization of recreational and cultural activities.
The intervention is being financed through a provincial earmarked grant of 34,000 euros, which will allow the property to be conditioned and equipped with the necessary conditions for its reopening.
With this intervention, Herencia adds a new space for the enjoyment of residents and visitors, promoting the recovery of an emblematic environment and enhancing the leisure and hospitality offerings in the municipality.
