On the past Saturday, a spectacular atmosphere was experienced at the XII 8-a-side Football Tournament of Our Lady of Solitude, organized by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Solitude together with the Municipal Sports Service of the Herencia City Council and Herencia CF. The event, which brought together some of the best youth academies in the region and prominent teams from the First Division, did not disappoint the numerous fans who filled the stands of the J. María Fernández de la Puebla field throughout the day, despite adverse weather conditions.
Acknowledgments and Recognitions
The tournament was a success thanks to the enthusiastic participation of all the teams and the tireless support of family members who, with their cheers, brought color and a great atmosphere to the football field stands. Special thanks go to the family members of the local teams, whose presence was crucial for the success of the event.

Closing Ceremony
The final ceremony was attended by local authorities, including Sergio García-Navas, Mayor of Herencia; Jose Manuel Bolaños, Provincial Deputy and City Councilor; Serafín Tajuelo, Sports Councilor; Jose Manuel Aragonés, City Councilor; and Luis García-Morato, Head of Sports Service of the Provincial Delegation. Coaches of the Football School and members of the boards of El Santo and Herencia CF also attended.
Collaboration and Joint Effort
The event was made possible thanks to the joint effort of the Brotherhood of El Santo and Herencia CF, who have worked hand in hand for the past 12 years. Special thanks also go to the collaboration of institutions, sponsoring companies, all the coaches and students of the Sports School, as well as key individuals like Ramón and Jesús “Peseta”, whose dedication has made this tournament a regional benchmark.
The XII 8-a-side Football Tournament of Our Lady of Solitude has become a must-attend event in the sports calendar of Herencia, once again demonstrating the passion and commitment of the community to sports and the development of young talent.
