The VI Health Conference of the “Las Supernenas” collective will feature doctors Miguel Martín, president of the GEICAM Breast Cancer Research Group, Miguel Ángel Quintela, head of the Clinical Breast Cancer Research Unit of the CNIO, Francisco José Iborra, senior scientist at the National Center for Biotechnology and CSIC professor, Neibla Priego, researcher at the National Cancer Research Center, and Jesús Sánchez, project manager of the CRIS Foundation against cancer.

An Excellent Expert Health Panel

For the Mayor of Tomelloso, to speak of the “Las Supernenas” is “to speak of altruism, generosity, overcoming obstacles, and contributing to making society a little better.” She has recalled that they carry out many activities throughout the year throughout the country to support research, which is a great gesture from this collective that the City Council has helped by collaborating in their work.

She has congratulated them for it and also for bringing to the Tomelloso Hospital some very important personalities in the field of research “an excellent expert health panel that involves a lot of work behind the scenes to make everything go as smoothly as possible,” said the Mayor.

Montse Jiménez has highlighted how difficult it is after “a few challenging years to raise awareness again that people with cancer are still here.” That’s why these conferences are organized and “to show, alongside the best experts, where the money we raise goes, because research cannot stop.”

To awaken people in this way, Jiménez explained that the best speakers will come to Tomelloso, resulting in “the first time they have come together in an activity organized by those affected.”

Humanization in Patient Care

Also participating in this presentation of the VI Health Conference of the “Las Supernenas” collective was the manager of the hospital, who is certain that we must collaborate and facilitate the realization of these types of conferences, especially when they come from associations “with whom we must work hand in hand and from whom we must learn from each other.”

César Moreno, who spoke about the importance of humanizing patient care, recalled that this collective has been fighting for years for the prevention and treatment of the disease in the best possible way. Regarding the conference, he also stressed that great speakers from the best entities working in research will come “because working on promotion and prevention is vital and after these two years, we must focus on continuing to treat and care for all patients.”
