The Senior Center makes a new visit to the program “En Compañía” and collaborates with the Food Bank.

Following the resounding success of the previous visit and with the aim of allowing more interested people to attend, the Senior Center has organized a new outing to the Castilla-La Mancha Media studios to participate in the En Compañía TV program as an audience. This activity has been requested by the center’s users, who have shown great enthusiasm to participate in this unique experience.

The visit to the studios has not only resulted in a pleasant and entertaining day for the seniors who have attended, but it has also been an example of the solidarity of the Herencian community. Participants have collaborated with the Food Bank, gathering a total of 125 kilos of food and hygiene products, thus demonstrating their social commitment and generosity.

The En Compañia program, broadcast on Castilla-La Mancha Media, is known for addressing topics of interest to society, particularly for older people. The attendance to the program has allowed Senior Center users to enjoy an enriching experience, share their opinions and experiences, and feel like an active part of society.

This initiative adds to the multiple activities offered by the Senior Center to promote active, healthy, and participatory aging for its users. Among them are handicraft workshops, physical and cultural activities, health and wellness talks, and visits to places of interest.

The collaboration with the Food Bank has also been successful, as the 125 kilos of products collected will be of great help to the most needy families in the community.
