Herencia lived a special day when the courtyard of the town hall was decorated to be the stage for the XV Reader’s Gala. An event that, year after year, recognizes those citizens and groups who have shown an exceptional commitment to reading and the Municipal Library.
In this edition, two families received the title of honorary readers for their enthusiastic participation in the activities proposed by the library and their dedication to instilling the love of reading in their children. They are the Núñez Beldad Family, composed of Marta, José Ángel, Héctor and Ariadna, and the Gómez-Calcerrada Requena Family, composed of Nines, Celia and Diego.
Manuela Sánchez-Archidona Solís, an avid reader and prominent member of the “Dulcineas” senior reading club, was also honored at the gala. Another recognition was given to Félix Albo and his Pipiripao tribe, who have done an extraordinary job promoting reading through the dissemination of illustrated albums.
The event was not only an award ceremony. The gala was enriched by the participation of the four storytellers from the festival “Herencia de las Palabras”: Félix Albo, Virginia Imaz, Oswaldo Pai and the Great Jordiet. These artists provided moments of entertainment and reflection, reaffirming the magic and power of words.
The XV Reader’s Gala was consolidated as an emotional gathering, full of fun and recognition. An occasion where Herencia emphasized the importance of reading and the significance of words in building a more enriched and connected community.
