Herencia commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a Week of Inclusive Activities

Herencia has been involved in the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated on December 3, with a series of inclusive and educational activities organized through the ‘El Picazuelo’ and ‘Carpe Diem’ centers.

One of the most outstanding initiatives has been the talk about the Life Project, in which people with disabilities shared their experiences on how they have managed to live autonomously. This talk, aimed at people with disabilities, parents, and professionals, has served to inspire and educate about the possibilities and potential of these individuals in our society.

In addition, users have enjoyed a day of cinema, in collaboration with Laborvalía, followed by a meal. This activity has not only been a leisure moment, but also an opportunity to promote integration and camaraderie among participants.

Another significant event was the participation in the plenary session held at the Diputación for people with disabilities, where relevant issues were addressed and this group was given a voice. In parallel, family activities have been carried out to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the ‘El Picazuelo’ Center and for the presentation of the ‘Carpe Diem’ center calendar, thus promoting unity and active participation of families.

The week of activities concludes with participation in the celebration of Constitution Day on December 6, marking the end of a series of events designed to promote the inclusion and recognition of people with disabilities.

This program of activities demonstrates Herencia’s commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their abilities. With these initiatives, Herencia positions itself as an example of integration and support for people with disabilities, celebrating their value and contribution to the community.
