The City Council of Herencia wanted to send a message of support and solidarity to all the brave women who face this tough battle. It is a tribute to those who are in the midst of the fight, those who have successfully overcome it, those who, unfortunately, are no longer with us, and those who resiliently continue to face it day after day.
The town has decided to join this cause in a special way: the iconic windmills of Herencia will be illuminated in pink, as a symbolic gesture to raise awareness about the disease and show unconditional support to those affected. This pink glow not only beautifies the landscape but also reinforces the community’s commitment to supporting these warriors.
But the actions do not end there. The Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Herencia will set up an informational booth in the central Plaza de España starting at 10:00 am. This will be a space where citizens can collaborate and obtain more information about this disease. In addition, handmade dolls by these brave women will be offered at a symbolic price, as well as association merchandise, in order to raise funds and raise further awareness about the cause.
On October 19, Herencia not only shows its solidarity but also demonstrates that true strength to overcome any adversity lies in the unity and commitment of everyone.
