Last Monday, the Health counselor, Jesús Fernández Sanz, visited the Health Center of Herencia along with the mayor Sergio García-Navas. During the visit, they confirmed that the current facilities have become too small due to the increase in services offered and the addition of new healthcare professionals.
To address the lack of space and improve Primary Care in Castilla-La Mancha, Mayor García-Navas has offered land to the regional government to study the construction of a new Health Center. This project aims to accommodate current residents and promote the training of more family doctors.
Fernández Sanz has assured that several proposals will be studied to improve the care for the citizens of Herencia. The current Health Center is also a teaching center, which adds importance to its expansion and improvement.
Currently, the Health Center of Herencia serves 8,454 health cards and has a staff of five Medical professionals, a pediatrician, and six nursing professionals.
