Success for Herencia at the Regional Cycling Gala in Tomelloso.

Last Saturday, Tomelloso hosted the Regional Cycling Gala, organized by the Regional Cycling Federation, where the young people from Herencia made their mark with a remarkable participation and a total of 10 trophies. The event celebrated the achievements of the cycling season, in which local athletes shone brightly.

Among the awardees, standout figures included Lucas López-Serrano Kiziryan, who was crowned regional and provincial champion in road cycling, as well as champion in both regional and provincial fun race in the male promises category. Juan Moreno Álvarez emerged as the provincial runner-up in road cycling in Toledo, showcasing his talent in the discipline.

In the women’s category, Sofía Galán Heras stood out as the provincial runner-up in road cycling and fun race in the promises category, demonstrating the high level of women’s cycling in Herencia. Meanwhile, Mario Galán Heras achieved third place in provincial road cycling and runner-up in fun race in the beginners category.

The talent from Herencia also shone in the children’s category, with Joaquín Ramírez Fernández de la Puebla becoming the provincial champion in the fun race and Marcos García-Valdivieso López de Pablo securing third place in the same discipline. Additionally, the participation of Bruno Ramírez Fernández de la Puebla in the promises category deserved a special mention.

The local Cycling School expressed profound gratitude to the families of the cyclists for their constant support throughout the season, as well as to the activity monitors, members of the Amigos del Plato Grande group, for their commitment, dedication, and work in developing the sporting talent of the young people.

This success not only highlights the high level of cycling in Herencia, but also promises a bright future for this discipline in the town.
