The official poster for the patron saint festivities of the Immaculate Conception has been unveiled.

Last Sunday, November 20, the Brotherhood of the Immaculate Conception of Herencia officially presented the poster for the festivities in honor of the Immaculate Conception.

This time, the image, created by artist Patricia Jiménez, features one of the works from the last “Villa de Herencia” quick painting competition that was acquired by the parish for its premises and pastoral purposes and is currently housed in the oratory that has recently been opened in the parish center. The work depicts the image of the public monument of the Immaculate Conception that is located in the Jubilee Flowerbed Square and was donated to commemorate the Jubilee Year celebrated in Herencia on the occasion of the third centenary of the last consecration of the parish church.

In addition, this year’s poster, in addition to using the image of the aforementioned painting, reproduces with a very elegant calligraphy, part of the lyrics of the pontifical coronation hymn of the Immaculate Conception of Herencia.

• November 20, 2022: Presentation of the official poster for the 2022 festival. After the Mass. 7:00 p.m.
• November 25, 2022: Solidarity dinner in support of the project of the shelter for abandoned girls in Yurimaguas (Peru) through Caritas Yurimaguas. Place: “Maritormes” restaurant. 9:00 p.m.
• November 27, 2022: 3 Marian Exaltation by Don Juan Ignacio López-Serrano, parish priest of Cebolla (Toledo). Afterward, the insignia ceremony for the papal coronation of the Immaculate Conception for the Passion and Glory Brotherhoods of Herencia. 8:00 p.m.

Following that, an organ concert by Don Eusebio Fernández-Villacañas on the 7th anniversary of the blessing of the parish baroque organ.
• December 6: 8 novena. Invited: childhood, adolescent, and young catechists and consecration to the Virgin of the children of First Communion. Sung by the young choir.
• Vigil of the Immaculate Conception at 9:30 p.m.
• December 7: 9 novena. Scouts Day with adolescent and young participants. Sung by the Hakuna choir from Bolaños. After the Mass, a dance by the Choirs and Dance of Herencia. At the Jubilee Door, a concert by Hakuna. During the concert, there will be a bonfire, festive firework, chocolate, and sweets for the participants.
• December 8: 8:00 am. Bell ringing in the parish church and the town’s chapels and firing of rockets in different parts of the locality. 11:30 a.m. Solemn function presided over by the preacher Rvdo. Don Óscar Torres Manzanares. The Jubilar Parish Choir will sing accompanied by the baroque organ. During the service, there will be a dance by the Seises. Afterward, a procession with the image of the Immaculate Conception accompanied by the Seises will take place. 12:30 noon. The image of La Inmaculada will parade through the streets: Plaza de España, Lope de Vega, and Colón to the square.
