The Herencia Carnival 2024 already has its representative image. The judging panel, composed of eight experts in design, art, and advertising, and chaired by Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, Councilor for Culture, has awarded the honor of being the announcing poster to the work “We are all carnival” by artist Jaume Gubianas Escudé, originally from Navás, Barcelona.
The choice was made on an afternoon where creativity and passion for the Carnival were present in each of the proposals. However, it was Gubianas’ work that captured the essence of the Herencia carnivals, incorporating distinctive elements of the town and its inhabitants. The artistic composition not only reflects the joy and colorfulness of this celebration, but also nods to local traditions and peculiarities.
The panel highlighted the poster’s ability to convey the inclusive and festive spirit of the Herencia Carnival, an event that year after year brings together a diverse and enthusiastic crowd.
The Carnival organization congratulates Jaume Gubianas Escudé for his outstanding participation and thanks the 25 authors who submitted their works, coming from different provinces of Spain. Their participation demonstrates the wide interest that the Herencia Carnival arouses, not only at a local level but also nationally.
This recognition of “We are all carnival” marks the beginning of what promises to be a vibrant and memorable celebration of the Herencia Carnival in 2024, an event that each year is consolidated as one of the most prominent in the cultural calendar.
