The Municipal Library of Herencia is dressed up for the celebration of the XXXII Library Week, coinciding with the Day of the Book, offering its citizens a series of enriching cultural activities from April 19 to 29.
The week will begin on Friday, the 19th with the presentation of the book “Soul of Poetry” by Yolanda Muñoz, a poetess from Toledo. This event, which will take place at the Municipal Library at 8:30 pm, will explore deep themes such as memory, loss, and remembrance, in an emotional tribute to life.
From April 22 to 29, the Primary Education students of Herencia will have the opportunity to participate in a cultural and educational journey that will take them from the ancient Greek Games to the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, all within school hours and at the library facilities.
The culminating day will be April 23, the Day of the Book, where discounts will be offered at the traditional Book Market, located at the cultural center from 5:30 to 8:00pm.
On Wednesday the 24th, an afternoon full of fun with board games for all ages starting from 6 years old is promised. To participate in this activity, it is necessary to register in advance at the library.
On Thursday the 25th, the celebration continues with “San Marcos to ‘Open Book’”, an outdoor activity combining reading with stories and a snack of hornazo with chocolate in the San Cristóbal mountain, starting from the library at 5:00 pm.
On April 26, magic takes over the library with the show “Magic Among Books” by magician Oski, designed to delight both adults and children. Due to limited capacity, it is recommended not to delay in picking up the invitations.
The week concludes with a solidarity day on Sunday, combining sports and art in the event “Herencia Against Cancer March” and the activity “Bailee”, which will include workshops, music, painting, dancing, storytelling, and games.
