The Socialist Assembly of Herencia has approved the candidacy of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) led by the current mayor, Sergio García-Navas, for the municipal elections to be held in May. The list of 16 candidates includes individuals representing various local groups, including the worlds of sports and agriculture, as well as young people and students and members of cultural and associative sectors.
The mayor, who is seeking re-election, highlighted that the government team accompanying him has worked hard during the previous legislature to improve the lives of Herencia’s citizens, despite the complications arising from the pandemic, the Filomena storm, and the energy crisis. Despite these obstacles, the government team’s commitment to the people of Herencia has remained firm, and they feel strong and renewed in their determination to continue working on improving the municipality.
The candidacy approved today at the socialist assembly intends to continue the line of work and collaboration with different administrations, including the Provincial Council, the Regional Government, and the Government of Spain.
