The Mayor, Sergio García Navas, and the Rural Development Councillor, Gabriel Carrero Díaz-Meco, visited the facilities of Almazarera la Encarnación Cooperative, Montes Norte Group, to see first-hand how the olive harvest campaign was going. It is a campaign that is nearing its end and has been 50% lower than previous years.
During the visit, they were accompanied by members of the cooperative’s Board of Directors, made up of 650 members, as well as students from Hermógenes Rodríguez High School who were on a trip to learn about the processing process and the importance of cooperativism for success. The first green oils of excellent quality for raw consumption could also be observed. These oils are collected at the beginning of the campaign and can be purchased through the Almazara’s online store, as well as other products from different producers in Herencia (Ciudad Real).
